Victim of Emotions’ singer, Adebola Ayodeji (a.k.a Maxim),
had a taste of stardom last week, when he was named Brand Villa Artiste of the
month of January and February 2012.
The award is the creation of producers and organisers of the
Brands and Products show on TV & Radio – BRAND VILLA.
According to a statement signed by Brand Villa’s Executive
Producer, Stephen Alayande, Maxim was named ahead of two other raves of the
moment, Davido and Brymo, in what is described as a very highly contested
award.
The criteria used include brand appeal and acceptance of the
artiste; artiste media visibility, artiste brand statement and outlook;
popularity of songs (audio or video), possible brand endorsement, depth and
understanding of songs etc.
The songs said to be under review are “Victims of Emotions”,
Davido’s “Dami Duro” and Brymo’s “Ara”.
It adds that Maxim’s two special solo performances for two
high-profile corporate organisations – GlaxoSmithKline and Shell Plc – at the
companies’ strategic sessions on February 8 and 16, 2012 sealed the game for
him.
The artiste started his career about eight years ago with a
debut video titled “Rise Up” and a song “Perfect Weather” in 2008, he released
Loving You, which attracted more love for him.
